GUIMARAES, Isaías P. et al. Production of Seedling of three accessions of papaya under increasingdose of Biostimulant Root®. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2015, vol.38, n.3, pp.414-421. ISSN 0871-018X.

The influence of the growth inductor Root® in seedlings of papaya was evaluated. The study was conducted in the greenhouse of the Department of Plant Sciences, Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid (UFERSA), Mossoró-RN, Brazil, in the period May-June 2013. The experimental design used was completely randomized in 5 x 3 factorial design, with the first factor consisting of concentrations of the growth inducer Root® (0 (control), 2, 4, 6 and 8 mL L-1 H2O) and the second corresponding to the papaya accessions factor (CMF-L52, CMF-L53, L54-CMF), with four replicates. Forty-five days after sowing seedling height, root length, total length, stem diameter, number of leaves, and dry weight of root, shoot and total were evaluated. The use of the growth promoter Root® favored the growth and development of seedlings of papaya in the three accessions. Papaya seedlings of better quality can be obtained with the application of Root® at doses ranging from 3 to 6 mL L-1. The accessions CMF-L52 and CMF-L54 provide the most vigorous papaya seedlings.
