ESASHIKA, Thana; OLIVEIRA, Luiz Antonio de  and  MOREIRA, Francisco Wesen. Acerola response to organic, foliar and chemical fertilization on an Ultisoil from Central Amazonia. Rev. de Ciências Agrárias [online]. 2013, vol.36, n.4, pp.399-410. ISSN 0871-018X.

In the majority of Amazonian low fertility soils of the, the nutrients deficiency resource limits the productivity of the plants, affecting economically the majority of small farmers. One of the cultivated species is the acerola (Malphigia punicifolia L.). This research aimed to evaluate acerola plants macro and micronutrients contents in response to fertilization on yellow oxisol located in the Brasileirinho Agricultural Community, Manaus. The experimental design was randomized blocks with a 3 x 9 split plot scheme with three collect times, nine treatments and five repetitions, with chemical, foliar and organic fertilization. There were significant variations in the acerola foliar contents in different treatments. The plants that received the treatments with chemical fertilization showed higher Ca, Mg, K, P and N leaf contents. The plants that received foliar fertilization showed the highest Fe, Mn and Zn leaf contents.
