Abstract

GROISMAN, Alberto  and  SCHNEIDER, Jacqueline. Qualitative research, health and drugs use: Outcomes and theorotical, analytical and espistemological implications of using the open talking interview technique. Rev. Port. Sau. Pub. [online]. 2014, vol.32, n.1, pp.37-44. ISSN 0870-9025.

This article discusses procedures of qualitative research project on health and drugs use in Santa Catarina, Brazil. The data collection sought to encourage the subjects to the formulation of statements about their experiences. The main technique of data collection was called open talking interview, it shifts the agenda of relevance to prioritize perceptions, perspectives and concerns of the subjects. The analysis focused on the categories-wedges «health» and «drugs: notions about», selected among others to indicate the relevance and contents of their incidence on the analysis of the relationship between «models» of perception, particularly personal and institutional.
