^lpt^aEste estudo tem como intuito a adaptação e validação da Escala de Controlo Sociopolítico (SPCS-Y) a uma amostra de adolescentes. Participaram 393 estudantes do 8º e 9º anos de quatro escolas públicas da Região Norte de Portugal, distrito do Porto, com idades entre 13 e 14 anos. Realizou-se a Análise Fatorial Confirmatória para a validação dos dados. Num total de 17 itens, mantiveram-se 12 itens, distribuídos na mesma estrutura fatorial de dois fatores. As qualidades psicométricas do instrumento permitem-nos afirmar que a SPCS-Y é uma escala que evidencia validade e fiabilidade para avaliar as dimensões da liderança e controlo sociopolítico em adolescentes.^len^aThe aim of the study is the adaptation and validation of the Socio-political Control Scale (SPCS-Y) to a sample of adolescents. The number of participants was 393 students in 8^th and 9^th grades from four public schools in the Northern Region of Portugal, Oporto district. The participants were aged between 13 and 14 years. Confirmatory Factor Analysis was used for data validation. As a result of this analysis, 12 items were retained from a total of 17 items, distributed in the same factorial structure of two factors. The psychometric qualities of the instrument allow us to state that the SPCS-Y is a scale that shows the validity and reliability to assess the dimensions of leadership and socio-political control in adolescents.
