Abstract

ALMEIDA, Leila Sanches de  and  ROSSETTI-FERREIRA, Maria Clotilde. Transformações da relação afetiva entre o bebê e a educadora na creche. Aná. Psicológica [online]. 2014, vol.32, n.2, pp.173-186. ISSN 0870-8231.  https://doi.org/10.14417/ap.868.

The present study was conducted from the perspective of Network of Meanings (Rossetti-Ferreira et al., 2004). It aimed identifying the moments in which adults report and distinguish as expressing new meanings in infant-caregiver attachment relationship along the first three months of the babies’ attendance at day care centre. The participants were two caregivers and four mothers with their babies 4 to 9 months old. A total of 60 interviews were carried out with the adults. The data also included field notes and photographs. In the first two weeks, adults reported that babies have observed the social environment in general. At the end of the first month of attendance, it was reported that babies gazed and focused their caregivers. In the second month, there were reports of focused behaviour between each baby and his caregiver. Adults’ reports were constructed under the criterion of presence or absence of certain behaviour that denotes a baby’s preference for a specific caregiver (CAPES).

Keywords : Affective relationship; Meanings; Attendance at day care centre; Attachment.
