The objective of the present study was to analyze the role played by psychopathic traits, behavior problems, delinquent behaviors and self-esteem in female juvenile delinquency. With a total of 249 female participants, subdivided in forensic group (n=93) and school group (n=156), the results showed that youths from the forensic group scored higher on psychopathic traits, psychopathic taxon membership, conduct disorder, behavior problems and delinquent behaviors. No differences were found regarding self-esteem and social desirability. A binary logistic regression model confirmed the importance of psychopathic traits and psychopathy membership as predictor variables.
