The present study, with 200 subjects, highlights the theoretical and methodological state of art of the debated cultural and intercultural dimension of individualism-collectivism (IND/COL). This aim was approached considering the validation process of an evaluation questionnaire of IND/COL in the Portuguese cultural context, namely the Questionnaire of Individualism-Collectivism (IND/COL) of Shulruf, Hattie, and Dixon (2003, Anonymous Questionnaire of Self-Attitudes - AQSA), constructed in New Zealand and composed by 26 items (15 evaluating the individualism dimension and 11 the collectivism one). The results of the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) used with AQSA suggested a new factorial structure of this instrument, to be tested in future studies of second order CFA, and also the necessity to clarify the theoretical universe and the operacionalization of the IND/COL constructs.
