Today we speak about Psychological Sense of Community (PSOC) as something that always was present. It's a construct that was introduced in the theoretical body of Community Psychology by Sarason (1974). PSOC has been the topic of much discussion, some theories and numerous empirical studies. PSOC is intuitively understood but difficult to define. It assumes a conception of community on which it must be constructed. In this paper we present a PSOC literature review and explore its diversity.
