Our aim is to question the epistemological option carried by Health Psychology, based in models considered by the author as distant form the experiential subjectivity of the being-sick. The phenomenological attitude and the existential comprehension of the being-sick are presented as interesting new ways of work in Health Psychology, as they facilitate a truly being-with the client, preventing the today tendency of transforming Psychology in a kind of medicine.
