Abstract

PERDIGAO, Antónia Cristina. A ética do cuidado na intervenção comunitária e social: os pressupostos filosóficos. Aná. Psicológica [online]. 2003, vol.21, n.4, pp.485-497. ISSN 0870-8231.

In this article, we propose an ethics of care as a contribution to a re-thinking of the being-with-the-other(s)-in-the-world and, by consequence, of the professional ethics assumed as one of his faces. In his interior, the mill-stone of a re-wakening to the being person turns around the concept of care, thought from Heidegger's work and valued as pre-occupation or pre-being. Despite of sharing the philosophical anthropology main values, the ethics of care amplifies and deepens it, in the way that his starting point re-flects the anteriority of his own essence. In this sense, the question for man is already, in his own, a gesture of care. Considering the analysis' angle specificity established by the article's title, we would like to point out that our purpose is to evidence in what way(s) we consider that the ethics of care is covered by the maximum importance at an ethical-professional references' level that must rule the professional excellency, and do not confine it to that same performance. It constitutes itself, in our understanding, as a tool reaching every one, and further more necessary in our individual, professional and collective quotidian.

Keywords : Ethics; care; person; other; autonomy; freedom; dignity; difference; quotidian; professional conduct.
