In this study we compared the HIV/AIDS beliefs and attitudes in youngs male and female subjects. Our sample was composed for 1000 students, 506 female and 494 male. We used a questionnaire (Cláudio, Gouveia Pereira, & Robalo) composed by three types of questions: free association, open and closed. The results indicate differences between the groups. We consider the elaboration of different prevention programs of each sex, leading account the specific beliefs and attitudes observed in our study.
