The Ecological Paradigm of old age and particularly Lawton's Ecological Model are these study frameworks. We intended to know the levels of Psychological Well-Being of rural elderly and to identify which are the most important variables of Psychological Well-Being in these elderly. Our sample consisted of 40 rural people (living in Mação) who completed the Portuguese version of the Philadelphia Geriatric Center Morale Scale and a questionnaire designed by us. Our results show medium levels of Psychological Well-Being, pointing to a suitable relation between the elderly and the environment.
