The object of the present paper was to study the knowledge and attitudes of parents, minors and teachers regarding sexual abuse, as a starting point for preparing programs for the prevention of the sexual abuse of children. The study was carried out with 113 minors aged between 8 and 13, 225 parents and 26 teachers. The results of our research reveal that both parents and teachers have very little information on the reality of child sexual abuse and maintain many false beliefs about this subject. For example, as regards the minors, most of them have heard of sexual abuse at some time, but their view of abuse is linked to violence where the aggressors are always strangers.
