Abstract

CAMPOS, Rui C.. Adaptação do Questionário de Experiências Depressivas (de Sidney Blatt e colegas) para a população portuguesa. Aná. Psicológica [online]. 2000, vol.18, n.3, pp.285-309. ISSN 0870-8231.

In these work we present the studies carried out to adapt the Depressive Experiences Questionnaire (D.E.Q.) by Sidney Blatt and coleagues to the Portuguese population. We begin the paper with a brief presentation of Blatt's theory of depression. Than we describe the original version of D.E.Q. and its psychometric properties. After that we present the translation process of the instrument, its experimental aplication, the demonstration of the linguistic equivalence between the original version and the Portuguese version and finaly we present some psychomteric studies with the Portuguese version of the questionnaire, namely of factorial structure and internal consistency. We also calculate the means, medians and standard-deviations on the D.E.Q. scales and on Beck Depression Inventory of a Portuguese female and male college student samples used in the adaptation processs and we compared those two samples on D.E.Q. results. We also compared them with the American female and male samples used in the replication study of the original standardization study. We also calculate the correlations between D.E.Q. scales and between them and the Beck Depression Inventory. The results obtained are generally quite satisfactory, but it will be necessary to carry out more validity studies and also of test-retest reliability.
