Nowadays, a common human being doesn't give much attention to literature, poetry, philosophy, painting, …, art. He usually prefers what is quickly and easily consumed, and what doesn't bother, irritate or perturbate him too much. In this article, we intend to analyse and understand the way how the image from a Bosch's painting (depicting death and the other side of death) is perceptioned and represented. Here we present an exploratory study with the aim to: apprehend the significance dimensions which structure the image thoughts, sentiments and symbols, in a population formed by management, history and social psychology students, men and women; and analyse how these significance structures differentiate the considered social groups. This study is theoreticaly framed on the social representations model, as it was first proposed by Moscovici (1961).
