In this paper we study the directed forgetting task, in two groups of students, non depressed and depressed, in reference to BDI values. In the second study the depressed group loss a positive bias, observed in the first study. The main difference is that the second study have required adjectives to be processed in relation to the self, whereas the first study simply have required adjectives to be processed for their pleasantness. In both studies the results reforce the existence of a desinibition access to information in the depressed group. We discuss the results in face of the negative mental models built by the depressed subejcts.
