Abstract

This research aims at detecting whether certain Rorschach structural variables can in the test show the presence of «Object Relations», a concept initiated by Freud and continued by Klein, Fairnbain and Winnicot, among others. Five different samples were used: 60 schizophrenic patients, 30 «acute» and 30 «chronic»; 10 non-patient «Senior Citizens», 20 Children between 8-9 years old with «affective defficiencies» and a control group of 31 non-patient children. The quantitative-qualitative analyses carried out would show how the Rorschach Test identifies the Kleinian «positions» emphasizing, once more, the contribution of the «Object Relations» Theory to Psychological Assessment.
