This study analyses the influence of the level of expertise in Law, and of the defendants' kinship on the judgment of a child physical abuse case. In general, there were found similarities between the two levels of expertise approached (lay persons and sub-experts), wich go in favour of the convergence of their perspectives about this problematic, as showed by other works. Also the kinship of the child's agressor (father/stepfather) didn't produce significant diferences on the way he has been judged.
