Abstract

SILVA, Ana Alves da. On the winding road of entrepreneurship: financialization and labor market policies. Anál. Social [online]. 2018, n.229, pp.984-1009. ISSN 0003-2573.  https://doi.org/10.31447/as00032573.2018229.06.

The article suggests a reflection on the apologetic discourse of entrepreneurship and its relation to active labor market policies. It is argued that state-induced entrepreneurship policies transfer to a private provision system the responsibility for employment creation and open a new field of financialization: the employment market. Discursive counterpoints to entrepreneurship promotion policies are found among previous empirical studies, but also through statistical data considered relevant to the study of a phenomenon whose effects are still largely understudied.

Keywords : employment; entrepreneurship; financialization; microcredit.
