The lexicon of biographical crises. The main goal of this article is to discuss and present an analytical model for the sociological research of biographical crises, i. e., stages of life marked by the disruption of habitual frameworks of action and thought, which have a substantial impact on the lives of individuals. First, the main contributions from sociology to the study of this topic are mapped, namely by identifying what fits the concept of crisis in the literature. This discussion provides the basis for the identification, in a second part of the paper, of the main analytical axes that structure the dimensions of analysis of biographical crises.
