This article analyzes the bibliographical path taken by demographic science in Portugal, particularly as it developed more extensively from the 1970s onwards. The bibliography is organized by subject-matter, in order to facilitate an analysis of some of the trends in demographic studies during the period in question, from the above-mentioned date up to the present day.
